The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives confirmed, on Saturday, that it would reject any decision or proposal to stop bonuses and raise employees because the fact that such a decision would harm a wide segment of the people.
Member of the Committee, MP Haneen Al-Qaddo said in a statement to “Information”, that “the financial committee will not pass any decision or proposal related to cutting bonuses and raising employees on the pretext of reducing budget expenditures”, indicating that “the amounts of bonuses and promotion do not constitute a large amount, in addition to that they will cause harm A large segment of the Iraqi people. ”
Al-Kiddu added, "Such proposals will stoke the street, in order to disassociate parliament from its reform decisions, and we have to establish the provision of grants and financial facilities to the Iraqi people, rather than deducting from its power, especially since the general situation does not encourage such decisions."
