On Sunday, al-Fath MP Muhammad Karim suggested that Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi offered his apology for forming the new government after the House of Representatives failed to hold today's session.
Karim said in a statement to / information /, that "Allawi is still meeting with the heads of political blocs to determine the date of the parliament session to give his government confidence", pointing out that "Allawi's position on his mandate to form the government will show his features after the end of the meeting."
He added that "the postponement of the session came due to the lack of a quorum and the absence of some political blocs from today's meeting," suggesting "Allawi will present his apology from the mandate to form the government."
