President Barham Salih begins on Monday his contacts with political forces regarding Muhammad Allawi's alternative in forming the new government.
Political sources close to the presidency said, "President Barham Salih will begin today, Monday, his contacts with political forces, with the aim of reaching an agreement on the alternative to Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi in forming the new government."
The sources added that "political acceptance and popular consent will be among the most important criteria that must be met in the new Prime Minister, so that the refusal of the parliament is not repeated."
The president in charge of forming the government, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, announced his apology for the formation of the government, attributing this to political forces trading in sectarianism that do not care for the interests of the country. Ended 29 / A 43
