, Member of Parliament Abboud Al-Issawi confirmed on Wednesday that the consultations conducted by the President of the Republic Barham Saleh with the leaders of the blocs circulated the names of the previously nominated candidates before assigning Allawi to form the government.
Al-Issawi said, "The political consultations with the President of the Republic put forward several previously nominated names, including (Muhammad Shi'a Al-Sudani, Ali Shukri, Mustafa Al-Kazemi and Naeem Al-Suhail)."
He added that "the political blocs are required to take advantage of Allawi's experience in forming the government and put forward an agreed upon name that is acceptable to the rest of the political parties," noting that "the political forces have not yet agreed on a specific name to assign him to form the government."
Al-Issawi pointed out that "the 170 deputies gathered, not to choose a personality for the prime minister, but rather to agree on the characteristics of that personality, which must be in harmony with the demands of the demonstrators." Ended 29 / A 43
