achieved the sufficiency of most agricultural crops for the first time since the fall of the previous regime, calling for providing all the Iraqi farmers with agricultural materials and specialized mechanisms needed in order to improve the agricultural reality in the country during the summer season.
Al-Baiji said in a statement that he received (the information / a copy of it) that "the self-sufficiency of most agricultural crops and animal products in the country is a matter that happens in the country for the first time since the fall of the previous regime, so this matter requires providing support to the farmers in order to improve and increase their production."
He added that "in light of the current crisis, the spread of Corona virus and the closing of borders with neighboring countries, our country today, through the efforts of the Iraqi farmer, has been able to cover most of the Iraqi citizen's agricultural and animal crops, and there is no fear of scarcity in the local markets."
Al-Baiji stressed that “supporting the agricultural sector in the country is very important and no less important than the oil sector, given that agriculture and its crops are in direct contact with the life of the citizen, therefore the agricultural sector must be supported greatly by the government, and we are not satisfied with achieving self-sufficiency, but we aspire to export our agricultural products To other countries and to upgrade them. ” Ended / 25
