    {Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Education is preparing to launch the {Newton} online platform to compensate students and students for the lessons they missed, to complete the curriculum scheduled for the academic year 2019-2020.
    Ministry spokesman Haider Farouk Al-Saadoun said in a press statement that the ministry "is working to compensate students for the lessons they missed due to the compulsory holidays that accompanied their academic year, and led to the delay in completing the curriculum scheduled for the first and second semesters, and worked on preparing the (Newton) electronic platform, It is an e-learning platform that will be launched through the Iraqi educational satellite channel at the Ministry. "
    He added, "The platform includes several lectures, which will be broadcast on educational television for all academic levels, elementary, middle and middle school, and will be provided by the most qualified professors in the Ministry in coordination with the General Directorate of Curricula, stressing that the platform will support students from a distance by providing instructional lessons to the student, and to all levels of study." The project returned "a real step to use the sober e-learning and use of digital media to face the challenges and overcome the obstacles that delay the progress of the educational process in the country."
    Al-Saadoun added in the same matter, "The launch of the project comes in implementation of the decisions of the central crisis cell in the ministry, indicating that the final stages of launching the educational platform have been completed, explaining that" the first government electronic educational platform in the country was prepared in line with the conditions of students and what they went through. From the circumstances that led to the delay of their academic year due to conditions beyond the control of the Ministry, which could negatively affect their academic future. ”
    He stated that“ The Ministry worked on preparing a package of alternatives and treatments in order to face any emergency in a way that guarantees the safety of students and students from the Corona virus, which Its spread around the world led to a delay Education to avoid spreading among them. "
    The Spokesman for Education pointed out that the Ministry "directed all educational and teaching staff to the need to communicate with students through the available means through social networking sites and electronic school sites in order to provide alternative educational opportunities, as well as the educational television work to provide educational lessons in various subjects And to all educational levels around the clock. ”
