, Speaker of Parliament Muhammad Al-Halbousi, called Thursday, to take firm and strict measures towards any targeting of Iraqi camps and military bases that include the international coalition forces.
Al-Halbousi condemned, in a statement, which received / Mawazine News / a copy of it, "the attack on the Iraqi military base of Taji, on Wednesday evening, by shelling with Katyusha rockets, which resulted in the death of a number of dead and wounded coaches and advisers within the international coalition forces, which are present at the request and approval of the Iraqi government." To train Iraqi security forces, and provide support and backstopping in the fight against the terrorist ISIS and the pursuit of its remnants.
The Speaker of Parliament added, "The Prime Minister, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, must take firm and strict measures towards any targeting of Iraqi camps and military bases that include the coalition forces."
Al-Halbousi stressed, "The necessity to open an immediate investigation to know the executing party and to prosecute and hold it accountable," noting that "such attacks are targeting Iraq’s security and territorial integrity." Ended 29 / A 43
