{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Ministry of Communications announced, on Saturday, the approval of the decisions of the Board of Directors of the General Company for Communications and Informatics regarding increasing and reducing internet capacities for a month from today. ..
A ministry statement stated that "given the exceptional circumstances that Iraq and the whole world are going through due to the outbreak of the Corona virus epidemic, Minister Naeem Thajeel Yusr Al-Rubaie approved the decisions of the Board of Directors of the General Company for Communications and Informatics in the extraordinary session held on Saturday 14/3/2020."
The ministry added, "The decisions were in conformity with the decisions of the committee formed by the Diwani Order (55) in support of the educational process through the educational platforms of the ministries of education and higher education and scientific research, free of charge and in a way that guarantees the access to teaching and educational materials to all our dear students and because of the keenness of the Minister of Communications and the Ministry Communication to support the educational process in our beloved country. "
The ministry added, "It will increase the local and international internet capacities as much as possible with a reduction in the prices of these capacities by 50% for local capacities and 25% for international capacities and for a month starting from 3/14/2020 until 4/14/2020 extendable According to the current conditions of our beloved country. "
