Al-Yasiri said in a press statement that "all the security forces entered into a strict warning condition / c to reinforce and confirm the measures taken in the governorate."
He added, "An army regiment will arrive, under the direction of the federal government, to reinforce curfew measures in the province."
The heightened security measures in Najaf come after an increase in the number of new cases diagnosed with the emerging virus, Corona, to reach 23 confirmed cases.
