An Iraqi parliamentary source said that there are negotiations and meetings between the blocs in the parliament to find an alternative to the prime minister-designate, Adnan al-Zarfi.

It is noteworthy that the Shiite blocs nominated several names to Iraqi President Barham Salih, including university presidents and academics.
The source said, according to "Al-Ahd News", that "the opposing team will work to mobilize the parliamentary votes to dismiss Barham Saleh in the event he does not retract his assignment to Al-Zarfi."
