Parliamentary Economy: Directed to reduce imports and support the national product

The Economy and Investment Committee in the House of Representatives announced that the government has reduced import amounts to support the local Iraqi product.
Committee Chairman Ahmed Saleem Al-Kinani said: "Supporting national production and granting loans to industrialists are among the committee's priorities," noting that "one of the central bank's initiatives was to support industrial projects with an interest rate of up to 3 percent, and it has invested to buy production lines from industrialized countries." .
Al-Kanani added: "The committee suggested that the government allocate funds (in the public budget) to return the stalled and destroyed factories of the Ministry of Industry, especially those producing materials that are used in the daily consumption of the citizen, while the rest of these factories are qualified from the profits achieved by the first group." .
