, a member of the victory coalition, Muhammad Abed Rabbo, confirmed on Wednesday that 70 members of the Shiite forces in Parliament were standing next to the Prime Minister-designate Adnan Al-Zarfi to pass it.
Abed Rabbo said, "There are blocs trying to block the passage of any candidate raised in the current period in order to keep the resigned Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi," pointing out that "these blocs supporting the resigned Prime Minister have obtained significant concessions from him and are seeking to preserve them."
He added, "The negotiations are still going on with all the opposition political blocs and they have not yet reached an agreement," stressing that "the Al-Fateh bloc is among the most vocal protesters of Al-Zarfi’s nomination for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers."
