Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, considered today, Thursday, that his country is not waging a war, only defending itself.
"Do not be misled by the usual war advocates again," Zarif said, tweeting on Twitter, addressing US President Trump.
And he added, "Iran has friends, no one can own millions of proxies," noting that "unlike the United States - which is lying, deceiving, and surreptitiously assassinating - Iran only acts in self-defense, publicly."
He concluded by saying, "Iran does not launch wars, but it teaches lessons to those who do."
On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump said that Iran or its proxies were planning a lightning attack on his forces in Iraq.
"Based on the information, Iran or its agents are planning a serial attack on our forces in Iraq," Trump said, in a tweet posted on Twitter.
And he added: "If this happens, Iran will pay a really heavy price!"
