The former Iraqi Speaker of Parliament, Salim al-Jubouri, said that the United States will not withdraw from Iraq.

In an interview with "Alsumaria" channel, Jubouri confirmed that the withdrawal of US forces from some bases does not mean that they will withdraw from Iraq.
He confirmed that the US-led international coalition forces had handed over the "Key One" base in Kirkuk to Iraqi forces.
The former president of the Iraqi parliament claimed that the United States would not withdraw from Iraq and would remain in its two bases in Erbil (northern Iraq) and Ain al-Assad (north of Baghdad).
Al-Jubouri added, "The American presence in Iraq is not only for Iraq, but for the region," explaining that although the United States remains in the country, it "will reduce its activities."
It is worth noting that two days after the American terrorist attack near Baghdad airport that led to the martyrdom of the two leaders, Hajj Qasim Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and their companions, the Iraqi parliament approved a plan to expel foreign forces from Iraq.
