On Saturday, the deputy for Al-Fateh Mokhtar Al-Mousawi announced that the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, would be questioned within the Parliament, stressing that the request for questioning would be submitted to the Presidency of Parliament to determine the date of the interrogation.
Al-Musawi said in a statement to "Information", that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, will be subjected to interrogation on multiple charges related to violations, abuses, perjury, treason and bypassing the largest bloc", stressing that "the request for interrogation will be submitted to the Presidency of Parliament to determine the date of the interrogation."
He added, "Saleh is not a trustworthy, and he exploits his authority by improper practices and double standards and inaction in protecting the constitution," stressing that his accountability has become his duty to correct the path of political confusion by the President of the Republic.
The deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Uday Shaalan, had confirmed in a previous statement to “Al-Maalouma”, that Saleh would be subject to legal accountability on charges of perjury and constitutional treachery, noting that Saleh had consented to himself violating the constitution more than once, ignoring the huge legal accountability.
