Baghdad: Sumer News, the commander of the army’s aircraft, Major General Samir Zaki, confirmed on Monday that the Habbaniyah Air Force base was ready for military operations in the western region. "The capabilities of the leadership of the Iraqi army aviation are great, as it had a long history in assigning ground blocks to all military operations," Zaki said in a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) and viewed by Sumer News. "The leadership started transporting swarms of aviation, such as Squadron 88 and Squadron 55 to the base before the withdrawal process began," Waki added, noting that "the base will be supplied with a squadron of reconnaissance drones after the approval of the higher authorities." The commander of the army aviation confirmed, "Al Qaeda's readiness as an armed fighting force for the army to carry out military operations in the western region, and awaiting the orders of the army chief of staff to complete the military operations against the terrorists."[/size]
