Al-Aqabi said in a statement: "The recommendation of the Prime Minister resigned to the President of the Republic regarding the issuance of a special amnesty for the convicts, including the coverage of embezzlement, theft of state funds and deliberately wasting public money, in the event that the convicted person paid his money before his release."
He explained: "This paragraph is a flagrant and grave violation of the Iraqi constitution, article 73 of which provides for the exclusion of amnesty."
He stressed: "Including those convicted of crimes of financial and administrative corruption with a private amnesty after paying the money they looted, represents a spark of hope and a lifeline that aims at them, and a green light for the rest of the corrupt to continue their corruption and expansion as long as the procedures with them are so easy and easy."
Al-Uqabi blamed the resigned Prime Minister for legal and moral responsibility for any accused of corruption and embezzlement files that are covered [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/145734/%D8%A8%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%81%D9%88 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AE%D8%A7%D8%B5]by private amnesties,[/url] contrary to the constitution and the laws in force, calling on public opinion to be vigilant and wary of these attempts.
