Global Health: Curfew continues to be in Iraq
The World Health Organization in Iraq confirmed on Friday that the rate of coronavirus infection in the country had decreased, not to say that the health situation was under control, recommending a continuous curfew and other measures to get out of the danger zone.
The representative of the organization in Iraq, Dr. Adham Ismail, said in a press interview published by government media: "The decrease in the numbers of casualties in Iraq came as a result of the preventive measures taken by the government, the crisis cell and the relevant authorities in controlling the prevention of gatherings," noting that "these The measures contributed to preventing the spread of the epidemic, and these measures must continue until the number of cases of infections and deaths in the virus is recorded (zero per day) and without these measures it is impossible to announce the conclusion of this result.
He added: There are two reasons behind the increase in the number of recovery cases in Iraq. The first is that Iraq adopted a therapeutic protocol that is a mixture of China and Iran, indicating that "Iraq benefited from the experiences of these countries, and thus Iraq started from where the others ended."
He pointed out, "The second reason is that Iraq possesses excellent medical staff and excellent emergency specialties that are not found in most countries of the region," stressing "the need to work to reduce the number of infections and deaths to zero to announce full control of the virus in Iraq."
Ismail said, "Iraq has not yet reached the peak of HIV infections," noting that "the results of the virus receding or spreading will appear within a week or ten days."
He pointed out that "the number of infections in Iraq is constantly decreasing," stressing that "this requires the continuation of preventive measures to prevent gatherings and not to allow the spread of the virus again."
