During the next legislative term, the House of Representatives is moving to pass the Public Holidays Act as an important piece of legislation.
"One of the most important laws that the committee is seeking to legislate in the next legislative chapter is the Public Holidays Act, which is part of the work of two parliamentary committees, the Committee of Endowments and Religious Affairs and the Committee on Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, considering that part of the law relates to national holidays and another to religious holidays," said Hana al-Taie, a member of the parliamentary committee on endowments and religious affairs.
"The committee has completed all its studies on the law, especially religious and heavenly holidays, and the committee has sought to limit religious holidays to the components in order to present the law for the first reading in the legislative chapter," al-Taie said.

She pointed out that "one of the obstacles faced by the law, with regard to part of the private holidays, and whether it will be within the powers of the prime minister and the provincial councils or approved within the law, for example visits
    Million".
She noted that "the difference in some of the names of national holidays and the reduction in the number of national holidays causes a loss to the state, so the holidays should be thoroughly studied and the details are accurate to take into account the national development and the circumstances that the country is going through, while respecting the privacy of religious and national events."
"The objections to the law are the right of the deputies and the purpose of the first reading is to inform about the bill and its specific and precise details for the members of the Council to get to know it and then switch to the second reading and reach discussions and submit proposals on the law in the final form and prepare it for a vote," al-Taie said.
