The head of the Ports Authority, Omar Al-Waeli, said in a press statement: The opening of closed border ports with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the State of Kuwait was discussed in the Supreme Committee for Health and National Safety, and a decision was taken to approach the governorates where there is a border outlet to study the food reality within these governorates.
He added that: If there is an urgent need to open these outlets for one day per week, according to the need of the provinces, we will consider that.
He pointed out that "the Ports Authority is in direct contact with the stakeholders in the Ministry of Agriculture and Trade in order to assess the food reality in the country, and in the event of any shortage of foodstuffs, there will be a decision to open one of the outlets according to the request of the governorate. / End 3[/rtl]
