Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani attacked, on Wednesday, President Barham Saleh, because of his recent positions and his rejection of his candidacy, stressing that the Shiites are more than keeping blood.
Al-Eidani said in a televised interview, followed by (Al-Maalouma), "I do not have an answer to the president's refusal to assign me the position of prime minister," noting that "Barham Salih violated the constitution by that."
He added, “Saleh justified his refusal to instruct me to form the government that he avoided the outbreak of a conflict between the Shiite component and this justification is not logical.” He pointed out that “the Shiites are linked to religious authority and are keen to preserve the bloodshed greater than what Barham Saleh is keen on and the conflict that Saleh invokes will not happen.” .
