A high-level delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talabani, will go to the capital, Baghdad, this week.
Samir Hawrami, a spokesman for Talabani, said, "The delegation headed by Qubad Talabani, deputy head of the Kurdistan Regional Government, will go this week to discuss the oil files and the region's share of the financial budget."
He added, "The delegation will meet, on Monday or Tuesday, with officials in the Iraqi government," noting that "no changes were made to the names of the delegation that returned from Baghdad a few days ago."
He pointed out, "The delegation prepared several options to discuss it with Baghdad," stressing that "all proposals regarding the amount of oil that the Kurdistan Regional Government can deliver through SOMO and the amount that Baghdad will send to the Kurdistan region, as a main focus of the discussions."
The delegation of the Kurdistan region, headed by Qubad Talabani, had returned, last week, to Erbil after a series of meetings with officials in Baghdad to solve the outstanding problems between the two sides. Ended / 29 / h
