The Change Bloc refuses to lift the immunity of a group of members of the region's parliament and calls for reforms and combating corruption
The Change Movement bloc in the Kurdistan Parliament issued a statement on lifting the immunity of a group of council members after criticizing the corruption files in the Kurdistan Regional Government, stressing that it categorically rejects this step.
The Change Bloc, in a letter addressed to the Presidency of Parliament, demanded that the paragraph relating to lifting the immunity of a group of members of the Council be removed from the agenda of tomorrow's session.
She said: "Instead of lifting the immunity of a group of members, let us talk about salaries and their arrears, endemic corruption and border outlets, include them on the agenda and discuss them with officials willing to talk about them in Parliament."
It is scheduled that a meeting tomorrow, Thursday, of the region’s parliament, will be held to discuss lifting the immunity of some of the representatives who criticized the region’s government and voting on it, which created a sharp criticism of some political parties.[/rtl]
