Independent MP Bassem Khashan stressed the necessity of redressing the southern governorates and eliminating the taboos and injustices that it suffered, especially the oil-producing provinces.
Khashan said in a statement to "Information", that "the step towards not granting the Kurds the Ministry of Finance is a positive factor in the political process, and if the Kurds obtained it, there will be injustice that will affect the rest of the components."
He added that " [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] has not controlled its economic situation and today there is a significant drop in oil prices, which is the main resource in financing the budget, at a time when the constitution stipulates that resources should be distributed to the people."
And that "talking about the presence of oil under Basra, Dhi Qar, Maysan and Muthanna was not a positive factor for these provinces, but rather it suffers from poor services and privatization, and therefore there is an imbalance between the north and south provinces, and even between the south and south there is also a variation." 25 n ended
