    Follow Iraq:
    International stands in support of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi announced today, Friday, after receiving many congratulations in a gesture that is understood as the start of a new momentum after five months of searching for an alternative to the resigning Adel Abdul Mahdi.
    Al-Kazemi had received phone calls, congratulatory messages and even offers of visits by neighboring countries, in one of the challenges of the government in launching a new era of diplomatic relations during the time of the Corona pandemic, stifling financial crisis and an international regional conflict on Iraqi soil.
    Washington congratulates
    The Prime Minister's Office announced that Al-Kazemi received a phone call from US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who congratulated on the formation of the new government and won the confidence of the House of Representatives.
    Pompeo stressed his country's keenness to stand with the Iraqi government to overcome the effects of the economic crisis, and to aspire to conduct a strategic dialogue between the two countries.
    The United Nations supports
    While the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, expressed his support, on the occasion of the formation of the Al-Kazemi government, calling on him to enable Iraqi groups to participate in the government.
    Guterres called for the implementation of meaningful reforms that bring tangible improvements in the lives of people and strengthen democratic institutions in Iraq, with the importance of working for the benefit of all Iraqis through a political process that enables women, youth, and all diverse Iraqi sects, including ethnic and religious minorities, to participate actively and appoint women to positions. Ministerial has not been filled yet.
    The Secretary-General reaffirmed the United Nations commitment to support the people and government of Iraq in their efforts to address the COVID-19 epidemic and achieve the sustainable development goals.
    Saudi Arabia invites him to visit
    Al-Kazemi received congratulations from Saudi Arabia through a call from her crown prince, Prince Muhammad bin Salman, who conveyed the greetings of King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
    Bin Salman told Al-Kazemi of Saudi Arabia’s desire to strengthen relations between the two neighboring countries, because of Iraq’s primary role in bringing the views of the region closer together, sending an invitation to visit Saudi Arabia.
     
    Jordan, Kuwait, Emirates, Egypt: satisfaction and satisfaction
    Al-Kazemi’s phone also received congratulations from the King of Jordan to Abdullah bin Al-Hussein, during which he expressed his aspiration that the formation of the new government would lead to more cooperation and development of relations between the two peoples and the two neighboring countries.
    It was followed by the congratulations of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, in which he expressed his congratulations to Al-Kazemi on the occasion of his government obtaining the confidence of the House of Representatives.
    The United Arab Emirates, through its Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, welcomed the formation of the Al-Kazemi government, expressing its hope that this will meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people to achieve security, stability and development, stressing its eagerness and aspiration to deepen and expand the horizons of cooperation and brotherly relations between the two countries.
    In turn, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry welcomed, in a statement, the new government, confirming the readiness to make all efforts to support it in achieving its goals.
