The Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Regional Government decided to reopen the Ibrahim Al-Khalil outlet on Monday and Thursday of every week, in order to allow the opportunity to return to the Iraqis stuck in Turkey.
Sherwan Al-Dobardani, the Kurdistan Democratic Party member, said that he opened the "Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Region in order to facilitate the return of the people of Nineveh stranded in Turkey, and he was informed by the director of the Ministry's Cabinet, Sami Jalal, to open the Ibrahim Al-Khalil outlet for two days during the week."
He added that the port "will be open from eight in the morning until 12 in the middle of the night, during Mondays and Thursdays every week."
He continued, "The Kurdistan Regional Government will take the necessary measures in the border outlet to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, and then transfer the stranded people to the borders of Nineveh Governorate," pointing to "the possibility of returning quarantine by the health of Nineveh and transferring the children of other Iraqi provinces to their provinces."
