Member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ghiath Al-Surji, confirmed on Monday, the insistence of the Kurdish parties in Sulaimaniyah to end the formulation of the decentralization law during the coming days and submit it to the provincial government, noting that meetings are continuing between the parties to come out with a final formula.
Al-Surji said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma", that "the political parties in the provinces of Sulaimaniya and Halabja continue to consult to come up with a final formula on the law of decentralization."
He added that "the new law will grant Sulaimaniyah and Halabja freedom in financial and administrative dealings and service projects and prevent the uniqueness of the decision as it is happening now."
Al-Surji indicated that "the draft will arrive in the coming days to the Council of Ministers of Kurdistan to vote on it and then send it to the region's parliament to pass the law." End / 25D
