And he added: "Issues of border closures, lack of specific skills, return of migrant workers, and large transfers due to low oil prices were also discussed," noting that his ministry had previously held a meeting during the past year with representatives of the International Center for Migration Policy Development (icmpd) to discuss a memorandum of understanding It aims to consolidate relations to develop immigration policies by adopting the strengthening of laws and regulations adopted in Iraq relating to migrants returning to it and ways to help integrate them into society.
Bahd pointed out to his ministry's keenness to "set up programs that provide assistance to refugees returning to the homeland and the unemployed, as it has opened training courses for the unemployed in which a group of experts lectures, as well as developing and building the capabilities of workers in the department's foreign department, with the aim of educating foreign arrivals with the Iraqi labor law and human trafficking issues."
