    Shafaq News / The Iraqi government reviewed a special report from the United Nations Office for Human Rights in Iraq, entitled "Cases of kidnapping, torture and enforced disappearance in the context of the demonstrations in Iraq: the third update", which covers the period from October 1, 2019 to March 21, 2020 .

    “The Iraqi government affirms its commitment to human rights and dignity and respect for the international covenants signed by Iraq in this regard, A statement by Al-Kadhimi’s office stated.

    In this context, it added, that the government renews its commitment to a fair and independent investigation into all the incidents mentioned in the report, according to the ministerial platform.
