Shafaq News / Security sources said on Monday, that tension has erupted again in Dhi Qar and Najaf provinces, noting that angry protesters are trying to storm Najaf governorate building.

Angry protesters are calling for the dismissal of the Traffic Director of Dhi Qar Governorate, Brigadier Fadil Al-Zarkani, pointing to the increasing number of protesters in front of the headquarters of the Traffic Directorate in the province and security forces heading near the headquarters to protect him, a security source told Shafaq News Agency.

In Najaf province, "angry protestors are trying to storm Najaf governorate building amid demands to dismiss the governor of Najaf.

The source pointed out that the protesters threatened not to withdraw until after the governor submit his resignation, pointing out that most of the protestors are trying to contact the security forces that protect Najaf governorate building.

The source told Shafaq News Agency last Thursday that some directors of state departments in Dhi Qar Governorate had submitted their resignations, under the threat of protesters who stormed their departments, in incidents similar to the Health department of the governorate yesterday.
