[size=18]The United States condemned, Thursday, the attack that targeted United Nations vehicles in Iraq, while calling on the Iraqi parties to respect the law and allow relief workers to work freely and safely.

The American embassy in Baghdad said in a statement that Alsumaria News received, a copy of which, "We condemn the attack yesterday that affected UN wheels that are carrying out a humanitarian mission in northern Iraq," indicating that "the most vulnerable people in Iraq depend on the United Nations and other international donors to help them from the lack of Food security, including refugees, returnees and displaced persons. "

The embassy called on "all parties in Iraq to respect international humanitarian law and standards and allow aid workers to operate freely and safely while they and their Iraqi partners undertake important humanitarian response work."
