The MP for the Labor and Social Affairs Committee, Fadel Al-Fatlawi, revealed, on Tuesday, that there are more than a million foreign workers within the oil companies.
Al-Fatlawi said in a statement to "the information", that "80% of the volume of employment within oil companies is for foreign workers and 20 of them are only for Iraqi experts," noting that "the volume of foreign employment in oil companies exceeds more than a million workers."
He added that "Parliament has a vision of decisively the file of foreign employment, the fact that many of the certificate holders are unemployed because of this existing employment," indicating that "the employment of local employment is necessary to get rid of the unemployment crisis among young graduates."
Earlier, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs revealed that it had coordinated with the National Security and Intelligence Service and a number of ministries to conduct a database of foreign workers in the country, while it launched a campaign to refer unlicensed employment offices to the judiciary. 25 T.
