    Shafaq News / The outgoing Speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Osama al-Nujaifi said on Thursday that Prime Minister , Nuri al-Maliki "has become a past," noting that “ he had received confirmation from the U.S. Vice President Joe Biden on the "need for change" in the country

    In reference to the rejection to al-Maliki as prime minister, Nujaifi said in an exclusive interview with "Sky News Arabia" followed by "Shafaq News", "al-Maliki has become a past

    ."
    Nujaifi called on all political forces to negotiate in order to agree on the three presidencies of the government, the state and the parliament.

    Nujaifi considered the calls for separation of the leaders of Kurdistan Region as a result of what he called as the policy of marginalization suffered by some of the components of Iraqi society.
     
    The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament announced that he had received a telephone call from Biden in which he emphasized the keenness of Washington on "Changing the Management in Iraq and addressing violence through a political solution
