Ambassadors and Chargé d'Affairs to a group of Arab and foreign countries issued a statement regarding the targeting of diplomatic missions after their meeting with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi.
In their statement, ambassadors and charge d'affaires stressed the support of Iraq and its people and respect for Iraqi sovereignty in a way that enhances the vision of a stable and secure Iraq, expressing their concern about the high number of attacks against diplomatic institutions in Iraq, whether they are missile attacks or explosive devices, the danger of which is not limited to missions only, but It includes the Iraqi people and civilians, the most recent of which was the tragic accident suffered by a family near Baghdad International Airport after a missile attack.
The statement stressed support for the steps taken by Al-Kazemi and his government to confront these attacks, and to carry out more security measures and operations to enhance security in Baghdad and the airport, as well as strengthening the security forces present in the Green Zone, expressing their readiness to assist Iraq in facing security challenges.
