The representative of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Fadel Jaber, confirmed, on Saturday, that state employees are not convinced of the government's justifications regarding delaying the payment of salaries and believe that the delay is a fabricated issue by the government to obtain the approval of Parliament for it to borrow again, calling on the Parliamentary Finance Committee to host the Minister of Finance to discuss the issue in detail and not repeat the delay in the future .
Jaber said in a statement to "the information", that "the majority of the Iraqi people depend in the conduct of their daily living needs on the salaries they receive monthly, as well as other segments that depend in their daily incomes from what employees and retirees spend by purchasing their necessary needs from the market and thus the part depends on the whole." .
He added that "the salaries of employees and retirees and the rest of the segments that receive monthly salaries from the government are not convinced of the justifications of the government," expressing his belief that "the delay is a fabricated issue by the government to obtain Parliament's approval for it to borrow again."
Jaber called for "the Finance Committee to host the Minister of Finance and in the presence of the Speaker and his deputies to discuss the issue in detail and not repeat the delay in the future.
