    The information / Baghdad ..
The reporter of the Legal Committee in the House of Representatives, Yahya Al-Muhammadi, confirmed, on Tuesday, that there is near-consensus in parliament to amend the Federal Court law.
Al-Muhammadi said in an interview followed by the information that, "During the visit of the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, to the Kurdistan region, discussions took place on the issue of amending the Federal Court Law and answering some of their questions.
He added, "The Sunni blocs support this amendment, which will include a number of observations," stressing that "discussion and voting on it will take place after the vote on the annex to the election law at next week's session of Parliament."
Al-Muhammadi criticized "some people in raising their concerns about this law and regarding the party that nominates judges for the court, and whether these judges and jurists will be subject to political quotas or will be independent." . End / 25
