On Thursday, a member of Parliament, Jasim Al-Bakhati, revealed that the House of Representatives had rejected a request submitted by the government to vote on borrowing 16 billion to meet the employees' salary deficit.
Al-Bakhati said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, that "the parliament refuses to prejudice the salaries of employees in general, with the exception of salaries of special and higher degrees," noting that "a request submitted by the government was rejected to vote on 16 billion dinars to fill the deficit in employee salaries."
He added that "the government has the responsibility to develop appropriate solutions to secure the salaries of employees for the coming months," noting that "the government is living in an economically unstable situation and it has to put in place appropriate plans for the crisis."
And the Parliamentary Economic and Investment Committee warned, earlier, that the country would go to the unknown due to the external debts accumulated on the Iraqi government due to mismanagement.
Earlier, the deputy for the Al-Fateh Alliance, Ahmed Al-Kinani, described the white paper for financial and administrative reform that the government presented to Parliament as a governmental establishment. 25 T.
