    On Sunday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee announced that the agreement concluded between the federal government and the Kurdistan region included the oil and port files, confirming that the agreement is fair to both parties. 

    Committee reporter Ahmed Al-Saffar said in a statement to the official agency, followed by “People” (6 December 2020), that “the agreement concluded between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region is fair to both parties and binding, because it is signed by the two governments,” indicating that “the agreement includes the two oil files.” And ports. ” 

    He added that “the oil file is calculated for all oil production and exports in the region, excluding the share of the existing companies, and the remaining 250 thousand barrels per day, which are delivered to the SOMO company, in addition to 50% of the revenues of the border ports, according to the Financial Management Law, in exchange for determining the share Territory from the federal budget, from actual spending by 12.67%. ”  
      
    On Saturday, the Kurdistan Democratic Party announced a preliminary agreement regarding the 2021 budget. 

    “The agreement includes the delivery of the region’s oil and half of the imports of the border crossings to the federal government,” a member of the House of Representatives for the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Dana Jaza, told the official news agency and followed him by “People” (5 December 2020).   

    Jaza added, “The agreement includes the export of oil through the (SOMO) company only, and the region’s share in the budget is 12.67 percent.”    
      
    On Thursday, Rabaz Hamlan, assistant to the president of the Kurdistan Regional Government for financial affairs, said that the region is ready to hand over its oil file to Baghdad in full in exchange for securing the salaries of employees and the accumulated dues of the oil companies.
     
    “The second option on resolving disputes is to deliver 250,000 barrels of oil and pay companies’ dues from the rest and from 50% of the imports of border crossings,” Hamlan said in a televised interview with “People”.
     
    He added, “The dispute between Baghdad and Erbil is now about the number of employees, as Baghdad believes that the number is 682 thousand employees, while our number is one million and 252 thousand employees.”
