    {Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail, arrived in the Russian capital, Moscow, on an official visit.
    A statement by the ministry, a copy of which was received by the Al Furat News Agency, stated that the Minister of Oil confirmed during his meeting today in Moscow with Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, "the depth of bilateral relations between Iraq and the Russian Federation, and the importance of increasing and developing the volume of cooperation, in a way that serves the interest of the two friendly countries." .
    The oil minister said, "This visit comes at the invitation of the Russian Energy Minister, in the context of strengthening bilateral relations, especially in the oil and energy sector, and discussing a number of joint cooperation files with Russian companies in developing oil and gas fields, as well as coordination and communication regarding the OPEC Plus agreement."
    Ismail pointed out that "he invited Novak to participate in the OPEC Plus meeting held today through the electronic platform, due to the importance of the Russian role in this agreement and the global oil market, and the two countries’ keenness to stabilize the oil market and restore balance to it in light of the challenges facing the oil market, " And work to cooperate with other producing countries to achieve this goal. "
    "The Minister of Oil met with the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Shulginov, and the President of LUKOIL Vagit Al-Kabirov," the ministry’s spokesman said.
    The Minister of Oil had arrived in the Russian Federation at the head of a delegation that included the Director General of the Basra Company, the Oil Marketing Company, the Director General of the Economic Department, Studies and Planning, and the Director of the Minister’s Office.
