Head of Bayariq Al-Khair Parliamentary Bloc, Muhammad Al-Khalidi, on Saturday, described the budget law as “complicated” in the event that a vote on it is resorted to through the ballot, ruling out the budget decision at next Monday’s session.
Al-Khalidi said in a statement to / the information /, that “political differences and problems regarding the articles related to the region’s share in the budget law have not been resolved yet, despite the continuation of political dialogues and negotiations to resolve these articles before the vote on the budget law,” describing the complexity of the budget law.
He added, "The talk about resorting to the majority to vote on the budget law in next Monday's session has serious repercussions and will affect the political scene in general and Parliament in particular," ruling out "the budget decision at next Monday's session."
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Jamal Cougar, confirmed in a previous statement to "the information", that the government text regarding the region’s share remains and has not changed until now, indicating that negotiations are continuing between the Finance Committee and the region’s delegation until next Monday.
