The leader of the Change Movement, Mahmoud Sheikh Wahhab, confirmed, on Sunday, that the Kurdish delegation's return to the capital, Baghdad, will not resolve the ongoing dispute regarding the budget law.
"The dispute is deeper and it is the result of accumulations for years, and there are things that are outside the ability of the regional government, such as oil contracts concluded with foreign companies, which the region cannot legally manipulate," Sheikh Wahhab said in a statement to Al-Malouma.
He added that "no agreement is expected regarding the budget law, because the region cannot deliver all oil revenues or settle them through SOMO, because this matter will sign it with legal problems, and it is very possible to vote on the budget in the absence of the Kurds."
The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Repin Salam, confirmed, yesterday, Saturday, that the Kurdish delegation headed by the Vice President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Qubad Talabani, will visit Baghdad on Sunday. End / 25 p
