The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee revealed, on Monday, its intention to host the Undersecretary of the Intelligence Service, to find out the truth about what the Secretary-General of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, Qais Khazali, said in his tweet regarding the leadership of an Emirati team for the Iraqi intelligence service.
A member of the committee, Kata Al-Rikabi, promised in an interview with local agencies, that "what Khazali proposed is a subject that affects the security of the country and the status of the Iraqi government, stressing that the committee will work to know its details."
Al-Rikabi added, "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi told him that he had transferred 300 affiliates from the agency, because some of them had many cases with the agency for a long time, which prompted the latter to transfer them to other bodies."
Al-Rikabi noted that "the transfer of honest people from these affiliates to the border customs was to provide more protection for the border crossings, which are economically important to Iraq."
