Today, Tuesday, the deputy for the Yazidi component in Parliament, Saeb Khadr, identified two options regarding the fate of the Federal Court law.
In a statement to the National News Center, Khadr said, “Parliament has reached two results, the first includes moving forward today with the Federal Court’s law stipulated in the constitution in Article 92 regarding the disputed articles (2,3,12).
Where political views will be converged on it between the blocs and the proceeding of this law, or the first amendment of Federal Court Law No. 30 of 2005 will be pursued.
He added, "Therefore Parliament today has two options, either to go to legislate the law, or to amend the previous law."
He pointed out that “the legislation of the law will include voting mechanisms, as well as the role of jurists and experts,” noting that “the amendment will not include these characteristics or matters, but rather it will complete a number of cases, in addition to the fact that voting mechanisms are in place and have been published on social media.”
He pointed out that "there will be a session of Parliament today at six o'clock on this subject."
