The fiscal deficit in the 2020 budget reached more than 12.8 trillion dinars, as a result of increased spending and a drop in oil prices.
The volume of spending decreased compared to the year 2019 by more than 41.7 trillion dinars, as spending was 111.7 trillion dinars in the year 2019, while last year it reached more than 76 trillion dinars.
The Ministry of Finance spent 3.2 trillion dinars on the investment budget out of 76 trillion dinars, while revenues amounted to 63.19 trillion dinars.
Oil revenues amounted to 54.44 trillion dinars, while non-oil revenues were 7.24 trillion dinars.
The Ministry of Finance ranked first with the most spending ministries, at about 21 trillion dinars, followed by the Ministry of Interior with 11.46 trillion dinars and then 6.75 trillion dinars.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
