Oil Minister Ihssan Abdul Jabbar discussed, on Wednesday, the implementation of a joint cooperation agreement to invest associated gas and solar energy with the French company, Total.
"The ministry is keen to expedite the implementation of the joint cooperation agreement for the investment of associated and free gas and solar energy in different regions of Iraq with the French company Total," the minister stressed during his meeting with the French company delegation, according to a statement issued by the ministry. Managing the global company with the ministry to implement these strategic and development projects.
And the statement continued, "The meeting included both Laurent Vivera and Dunia Chalabi, as he comes to follow up the memorandum of the initial agreement and joint cooperation to implement a number of associated gas investment projects in Artawi, Anbar and Diyala, and solar energy investment projects in a number of provinces of central and southern Iraq."
And, "where the proposed commercial contract models to organize joint work and cooperation were reviewed, as well as Total support and financing for projects to promote the infrastructure of the oil sector were discussed."
And the minister expressed, according to the statement, "his hope for the implementation of agreements and contracts aimed at optimal investment of the national wealth, and the achievement of the ministry's plans in gas investment and the advancement of the liquidation sector and the infrastructure."
