The Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Mrs. Evan Faeq Jabro, discussed with the delegation of the United Nations Program and the Organization (  undp ) the mechanism of coordination between the two sides in the restoration of life and stability to the liberated cities and the return of families from the remaining camps, Al-Jada Al-Khames and Ameriyat Al-Fallujah  .

This came during a meeting held today, Monday, at the Ministry’s building in the capital, Baghdad
The Minister stated, “The effort made by the Ministry in closing the camps was exceptional, especially in light of the current circumstances and the challenges associated with the outbreak of the pandemic and the economic decline, as well as the obstacles that were standing in the way of closing the camps.
And the success achieved by the Ministry's cadres in returning those families in coordination with the relevant authorities  .

Jabro indicated that the remainder of the closed camps, except for the Kurdistan region, are the two camps of Al-Jada Al-Fifth and Ameriyat Al-Fallujah due to a number of problems related to the residents of these two camps due to clan and other disputes. After returning their original inhabitants to their homes, and of course, many of those cities have demolished their infrastructure, especially homes, expressing “her hope for close cooperation to expedite the construction or restoration of the destroyed homes for returning families through international support and the assistance of the international community.” Zina Ahmed and the accompanying delegation “has the ministry’s plan to close the camps and return their residents to their original areas of residence  .

Mrs. Zeina and her accompanying delegation expressed their communication with the Ministry in following up on its plans regarding integration, restoration of life and stability, and providing support for the construction and restoration of destroyed homes in those cities.
