This is a historic step towards the global goal to ensure a fair distribution of Corona virus vaccines across the world, and this is the first batch of vaccines to Iraq. While preventive measures can be effective in curbing virus transmission, their effectiveness depends heavily on their strict application by all citizens. In the same context, Dr. Ahmed Zouiten, the representative of the World Health Organization in Iraq, said: “This is a historic point in the response to the Corona epidemic in Iraq, as receiving and using these vaccines is a step in the right direction in controlling the epidemic in Iraq. These vaccines are very safe and effective in preventing corona virus infection, and the associated risks of hospitalization and death.
Dr. Ahmed continued, "We would like to congratulate the Ministry of Health and the Iraqi government for all the efforts made in responding to Corona virus in general, and ensuring that these life-saving vaccines reach the country. With more vaccines received according to the World Health Organization's emergency use list, and with the manufacture of more Globally, we are looking forward to receiving more customizations, and more vaccines from the Kovacs facility, in the coming weeks and months. "
