    On Thursday, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz sent an official invitation to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to visit the Kingdom, while the two sides stressed the importance of expanding and strengthening the horizons of bilateral cooperation in various fields.


    Al-Kazemi's office said in a statement, "It is based on the solid and historical fraternal ties and ties that bring together the Republic of Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their brotherly peoples, and to strengthen the bonds of relations between them, and their sincere desire to develop them in various fields, on solid foundations and principles, foremost among which are Arab and Islamic brotherhood and good neighborliness." And common interests, and upon the generous invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, a virtual meeting was held today, Thursday, remotely between the prime minister and the Saudi king.






     
    The two sides noted, according to the statement, "the well-established historical fraternal relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples and praised the level reached by those relations and contacts between them." They also stressed the "role of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council in a way that serves the interests of the two countries and two brotherly peoples and the importance of expanding and strengthening the horizons of bilateral cooperation in various fields." Especially political, security, commercial, investment and tourism. "

    The statement pointed out that "the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia appreciated the efforts of the Iraqi government to achieve security, stability and development in the Republic of Iraq, and the Republic of Iraq also appreciated the initiatives provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Iraq in the field of confronting the Corona pandemic (Covid-19)."

    The two sides agreed to "intensify cooperation, coordination and exchange of views on issues and issues of concern to the two countries on the regional and international arenas, in a way that contributes to supporting and enhancing security and stability in the region, and the need to keep them away from tensions and their causes, and the joint endeavor to establish security and stability foundations."


     
    The Prime Minister affirmed "to support the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to end the crisis in Yemen."

    According to the statement, the Saudi king sent a generous invitation to the prime minister to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to meet Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince, to discuss ways to strengthen relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples and discuss all issues of common interest. Al-Kazemi expressed his appreciation and acceptance of the invitation.
