The Presidents of the Republic, Barham Salih, and the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, stressed today, Thursday, the need to expedite the legislation of the budget law.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament said in a statement that Mawazine News received, a copy of it, that “Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi received the President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, to discuss the overall situation and crises the country is going through, and ways to address them under the current circumstances.”
He added, "The meeting discussed early elections and creating the appropriate atmosphere for conducting free elections that express the will of the citizen and enhance confidence in their results."
The two sides also discussed the Federal Budget Law for the fiscal year 2021, and the emphasis on the need to expedite its legislation. "Ended 29 / A 87
