[size=45]Specialists in economic affairs are likely to see a new rise in commodity prices in the markets, while they held Parliament responsible for the escalation of prices due to the delay in approving the budget.[/size]
[size=45]A member of the Parliamentary Economic and Investment Committee, Representative Nada Shaker Jawdat, said in an interview with Al-Mada that "the government is the first responsible in the matter of raising or lowering prices, as it has not taken any actual measures regarding raising the prices of foodstuffs and we have not seen any economic security."[/size]
[size=45]Jawdat adds that "the government's performance is very weak, as it cannot control the small merchants, so how will it control the bigger things?"[/size]
[size=45]Jawdat believes that "the citizen lives in constant anxiety, as he is threatened on the one hand by the rise in the price of the dollar on the one hand and by the rise in the prices of foodstuffs on the other hand," stressing that "the prices will rise more than they are in the coming days with the advent of the month of Ramadan."[/size]
[size=45]The member of Parliament went on to say, "If the government had imprisoned or punished one of the greedy merchants, we would not have come to what it is now." ..) And there is no deterrent force for them.[/size]
[size=45]Jawdat believes that "launching the ration card items before the month of Ramadan is nothing but laughing at the beard," as she put it. She wondered, "Where are the citizen's supplies that about a year passed from that card and where did her money go?"[/size]
[size=45]The Ministry of Trade had mobilized all its agencies for the purpose of completing the preparation of the ration card items in preparation for the month of Ramadan, noting that the ration card system would witness stability after the directive of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi.[/size]

[size=45]In turn, the specialist in economic affairs, Basem Jamil Antoine, said in an interview with (Al-Mada) that "the issue of high food prices indicates the lack of interest of parliamentarians in the market reality and their lack of understanding that delaying the vote on the draft budget will increase the incidence of poverty, unemployment and the economic collapse of society."[/size]
[size=45]Antoine indicates that "a unified position must be taken, and pressure by members of the House of Representatives to approve the 2021 budget."[/size]
[size=45]The specialist in economic affairs believes that "the contentious issues that impede the approval of the budget are not that important that lead to all this waiting," indicating that "there are those who want to harness it for electoral purposes."[/size]
[size=45]The specialist in economic affairs went on to say that “the government must provide job opportunities leading to the development of investment work and employ the unemployed, and this in turn leads to a reduction in unemployment rates, or the government goes towards providing salaries through the protection network, although it is an inappropriate solution because unemployment leads to the destruction of society [/size]
